Seawater Desalination

The first seawater desalination plant was developed in 1940’s. Since then, there have been three main desalination technologies that lead the market. They are multi-stage flash (MSF), multi-effect distillation (MED) and reverse osmosis (RO).

1. MSF
In the multi-stage flash (MSF) process, seawater is heated and evaporated repeatedly, and the steam is condensed to produce desalinated water. This method is adopted by about half of the world’s desalination plants, particularly when the plants are high-capacity ones.

2. MED
The multi-effect distillation (MED) method is similar to multi-flash effect: hot steam passes through a tube. Sea water is sprayed on the outside of the tube and is turned to steam. The process occurs in a progression of stages (effects).

3. RO
In the RO process, the seawater is subjected to high pressure to separate the salt and minerals, which are then filtered out by the use of a semi-permeable membrane.

Seawater Desalination
We mainly produce seawater desalinator which takes the RO technology. Choosing proper construction materials will guarantee longer operating life and less maintenance. Shijiazhuang Liquatech Environmental Technology Co., Ltd. supplies a full range of commercial and industrial sea water reverse osmosis systems, customized to meet the end user’s specific requirements.

Our sea water treatment plant features advanced and high rejection Reverse Osmosis (RO) technology. Our designs are state-of-the-art, with optimized efficiency, reliability, yield quality, and overall low cost per unit of water.
